Fees & Funding

Our Provision

At Grantham Day Nurseries, we’re here to support your family all year round. We’re open from 7.30 am to 6.00 pm, Monday to Friday, for children aged 0–4 years. The only times we close are bank holidays and the period between Christmas and New Year.

Each day includes two structured sessions:
Morning: 9.00 am – 12.00 pm
Afternoon: 1.00 pm – 4.00 pm

Families can choose from a mix of government funded and paid sessions, depending on what works best for them. If you need extra hours outside your funded sessions, these can be added at our hourly rate of £7.40.

We do ask that children attend a minimum of two sessions per week.

Meals & Lunchtimes

We provide a hot, nutritious lunch each day, including a main meal and a healthy dessert, for £4.00 per meal. Our menus are created with an external provider and follow government Nutrition Guidance, with new menus introduced each term.

If you prefer to send a packed lunch, that’s absolutely fine. We simply ask that lunches follow our Packed Lunch Policy and are sent in an insulated bag with ice packs, as we’re unable to refrigerate them.

Forest School

We’re excited to offer Forest School sessions for preschool children each term. These fun, handson sessions run for three hours each week over a sixweek block. The cost is £9.00 per session, and places are booked for the full term so children can enjoy the complete experience.

WrapAround & Holiday Care

During termtime:
Before school: 7.30 am – 9.00 am
After school: 3.15 pm – 6.00 pm

During school holidays: Holiday care is available at both nurseries during normal nursery hours (excluding Christmas).

All outofschool care is charged at £6.30 per hour.

Tax-Free Childcare

We are registered on the Tax-Free Childcare scheme. Families who are signed up to TaxFree Childcare can use it to help reduce the cost of childcare. To get started, you’ll create an online childcare account that you pay into — and the government adds money too. You can then use the balance to pay your childcare provider.

For every £8 you add to your account, the government contributes an extra £2, giving you a little more support with your childcare costs.
